The pricing model

Hybrid: generous free tier (30K sessions/mo, 12-month retention) but all paid tiers (Business / Advanced / Enterprise) are quote-only.

The 30K free tier is the headline feature

Fullstory's free tier, 30,000 sessions/month with 12-month retention, is the most generous in the RUM matrix. For comparison: Sentry free is 5K errors + 50 replays/month, Raygun is a 5K-session trial, LogRocket is 1K sessions/month with only 1-month retention. Fullstory's free tier is large enough to cover small commercial sites and most mid-market product teams for early-stage usage.

The 12-month retention is the second standout feature. Most paid RUM tools cap retention at 30 days (Datadog), 35 days (Dynatrace), 60 days (Raygun), or 90 days (Sentry Business). Fullstory's free tier retains a year of session data, enough to do meaningful longitudinal analysis on product changes and seasonal patterns.

Paid tiers are quote-only

The trade-off for the generous free tier is opaque paid pricing. Fullstory's Business, Advanced, and Enterprise tiers are all quote-only. No published per-session rate, no published tier-volume breakpoints, no published feature gating beyond high-level marketing copy. To get a price, you need to engage Fullstory sales, and based on third-party commentary, the published quotes typically land in the $5,000-$25,000+ /year range for mid-market commercial workloads above the 30K-session free ceiling.

We do not publish those numbers as verified rates, they are third-party reports, not Fullstory's published rates. We flag Fullstory's paid tiers with a Quote Only badge in the master matrix.

Mobile analytics is a separate add-on

Fullstory's mobile analytics (iOS + Android session replay and analytics) is a separately-priced add-on, not bundled into the web product. Teams instrumenting both web and mobile should expect a higher quote than web-only.

The replay + analytics combination

Fullstory's differentiator is the combination of pixel-perfect session replay (similar to LogRocket) plus product analytics (similar to Heap, Mixpanel, Amplitude). It serves product teams who want to watch real user sessions AND build funnels/cohorts/conversion analyses on the same data without instrumenting a separate analytics SDK. For technical engineering teams focused purely on debugging, LogRocket has stronger SDK integration; for product-led growth teams wanting unified replay + analytics, Fullstory is the better fit.
